R7 Laser Anti-Drone System Product Configuration Plan

Product Description

Product Overview

The R7 laser anti-drone system consists of one search guidance subsystem, one electro-optical precision tracking subsystem, one laser light source (near-infrared laser source + mid-infrared
laser source), one laser beam combination and launching subsystem, one display and control subsystem, and one integrated support subsystem, among others. The system has the capability to search, warn, and stably track typical aerial moving targets such as drones and powered projectiles. It also has the ability to partially saturate and interfere with electro-optical imaging guidance weapons and airborne electro-optical pods operating in the mid/far-infrared band with laser light, and it has the capability to laser damage small drones. The search guidance subsystem mainly consists of a search radar. It is used to detect targets, issue early warning information, and provide target positioning and direction, establishing trajectory information to guide subsequent tracking, striking, or jamming.The electro-optical precision tracking subsystem includes infrared coarse tracking equipment, television coarse tracking equipment, television fine tracking equipment, servo turntable, laser rangefinder, etc. It is mainly used for imaging surveillance and tracking of threat targets, guiding laser jamming equipment to perform precise ranging on targets, providing the system with real-time target images, target azimuth and elevation error information, and target distance information, achieving continuous and stable tracking of targets within the field of view for precise tracking guidance. The laser light source includes near-infrared laser source equipment. The laser light source mainly constructs modules for laser damage/interference, thermal management, and energy storage. The damage laser source mainly uses near-infrared lasers operating around the 1070nm wavelength. The laser beam combination and launching subsystem include near-infrared launching equipment, etc. It combines beams through a power combiner to achieve an output power of over 20kW, stably converging on the target. The display and control subsystem includes integrated information fusion processing equipment, display and control equipment, etc. It mainly completes early warning of incoming targets, target confirmation, tracking guidance, battlefield situation display, jamming decision-making, intelligence distribution, and reporting.The integrated support subsystem includes a wheeled chassis, container, electric leveling equipment, etc. It mainly completes the vehicle’s travel and provides a mounting platform for the equipment. The system uses fiber laser spatial beam combination technology, achieving power superposition through an active beam-combining mechanism, while also completing adaptive optical control. It has the advantages of modularization, easy maintenance, low cost, and long-duration light emission, with active control capabilities, good beam quality, longer strike distance, stronger striking ability, better beam quality, and superior thermal control capabilities under the same power conditions. Modular design ensures high reliability of the system, adaptability to different application scenarios, and the ability for rapid maintenance and replacement. The system has visual tracking and aiming capabilities, allowing for quick target detection and locking with higher tracking and aiming accuracy. It is capable of withstanding shock, impact, salt spray, high-temperature differences, high humidity, and dust.

System Features are as follows:

• Capable of targeting with or near the speed of light, achieving instantaneous hits, which greatly reduces computational requirements and preparation time for strikes.
• Rapidly shifts fire, capable of attacking multiple targets in a short period, with flexible and swift response.
• Highly concentrated energy with minimal collateral damage.
• The cost per strike is extremely low.

This product utilizes multiple proprietary key technologies, including modular array beam synthesis technology, based on domestic 1070nm 3kW lasers, standardizing a two-tier, four-level module with modular interfaces; free splicing and quick plug-and-play, addressing the issue of spectral beam combining being unfavorable for modularization, with controllable costs; the beam array can reach up to 73 channels, arranged in a honeycomb pattern, with beam gaps of less than 1mm. Active pointing closed-loop control technology achieves adaptive optics functions, addressing thermal effect issues, and maintaining beam combining quality over long periods; it solves the problem of spectral beam combining lacking active control technology, which leads to beam pointing deviation upon heating, requiring light to be stopped, without increasing additional costs.

System Functions:

• Capable of search and early warning for typical aerial moving targets such as drones and powered projectiles;
• Capable of stable tracking for typical aerial moving targets such as drones and powered projectiles;
• Capable of laser partial saturation interference for electro-optical imaging guidance weapons and airborne electro-optical pods operating in the mid/far-infrared band;
• Capable of laser damage to small drones (with the DJI Phantom 4 as the evaluation target);
• The high-power laser beam combination and launching optical path has closed-loop control capabilities, where closed-loop control refers to real-time closed-loop adjustment of pointing deviation caused by thermal effects based on a calibrated reference;
• The closed-loop control in the laser launching optical path has an external control interface that supports the verification of closed-loop control algorithms;
• Capable of information exchange with a cooperative control subsystem, able to upload target information, equipment status, and operational data to the cooperative control subsystem, and receive data and real-time control commands issued by the cooperative control subsystem.
