The T500-998 Cargo Parachute System is primarily used for the deceleration and stabilization of large platform airdropped cargo, safely transporting materials from the air to the ground to protect the goods from impact damage.
It is suitable for standard airdrop platforms as well as various other platforms.
The T500-998 parachute system features a main canopy with a diameter of 19.5 meters. The T500-998 can be used either individually or in groups (two or more units).
When used in a two-parachute configuration, it can support a payload of up to 1,588 kg (3,500 lbs).
The adjustable captive net assembly consists of a captive net, a captive cloth with four tie-down straps, and four suspension risers.
